I'm Kumaresan Pandurangan. I first sat at a computer in 1990, a green-screen machine with 8KB of RAM, and I've been chasing how technology works ever since. I assembled my own machines, wrote assembly with a debugger, and came up through Linux, with a habit my teachers found maddening: I'd spot the error in a program while it was still being written. That instinct led me into security. I spent the better part of two decades securing some of India's most demanding environments: government, law enforcement, banking, aerospace, and pharma. Today I lead security and technology at a medical-device manufacturer, and I write here about what I'm learning at the intersection of cybersecurity and the devices lives depend on.
