Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This website is a personal site published by Kumaresan Pandurangan. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, and how it is used. The views and content here are personal and my own.
Information collected
I aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:
- Usage analytics. If analytics are enabled, an aggregated, mostly anonymous record of pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, used only to understand what readers find useful.
- Newsletter email. If you choose to subscribe, your email address is collected and stored by my newsletter provider for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter.
- Server logs. Like most websites, the hosting server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.
Cookies
If web analytics are enabled, a small number of analytics cookies may be set to measure visits. They are not used for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.
Third parties
A few trusted services help run this site, for example the web host, the analytics provider, and the newsletter provider. They process data only as needed to provide their service. I do not sell your data to anyone.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live (for example under India's DPDP Act or the EU's GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email mail@kumaresanp.com.
Data retention & security
Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, and reasonable measures are taken to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
